HELLO GUYS!
4 Great Ways to Take Time for Yourself
1. Me first
Everyone needs to take time out of their day to check back in with themselves and do activities that make them happy. Whether that activity is talking with friends, calling home, watching a movie, reading a book, or working out, there is something out there for everyone. It feels amazing to take just one hour of my day and work towards becoming a healthier and happier version of ourselves. I highly encourage everyone to find this for themselves and just watch what a difference it makes in their outlook on every day.
2. Timing it out
Everyone needs to be more organized about time. Everyone can start to organize their time by making a list in their notes app on their phone scheduling out their day and what they need to get done. A suggestion I can provide is that trying to put all the tasks in order of how I need to complete them. This will help by giving us a visual representation of our day and it also will help us to stop feeling so overwhelmed. Everyone needs to take value in their time and find the best way to space your day out because your time is valuable and doesn’t deserve to be wasted.
3. It’s ok to say ‘no’
People will understand and you’re not a bad person for doing this. The moral of this story is that you are important and deserve to be looked after, so make sure that you are doing that for yourself. Be selfish, to an extent. Take time to check on yourself, realize that your time has value, and determine where that value should go.
4. Shut down the Tablet and Phone.
Set a time for stopping projects. Say at 5pm, "I will stop and start again tomorrow".' This might be harder with the rise of smartphones but if you're struggling there are apps available to help you manage screen time, such as Freedom, Moment and ZenScreen - all available on iOS and Android, although at a cost. Your phone may also be recording how much time you spend in each app to see where the time sucks lie (check your Settings).
Thank you, guys!!
